I’m leaving next week for a major exhibit, Chicago’s One of A Kind Exhibit, held at the huge Merchandise Mart. I’m nearly ready, but still have my “showcase” piece to finish. If everything goes well, I’ll have just enough time to finish the watercolor on paper, seal it, embellish the canvas panels (seen in the background of the snapshot below), cut and mount the watercolors onto the canvas panels and then seal each panel with 3 coats of acrylic varnish. Overall finished size will be 44 x 48″. Whew!
A new Elementals triptych in progress – I’ll cut it into 3 pieces and mount on 3 canvas panels.
David,
Have I ever told you how much I enjoy watching your paintings come to life? Thanks so much for sharing the process we usually never see.
Beth – You are welcome! I love sharing what I do with others… wish I was brave enough to put up a webcam in my studio. Maybe someday…
